Your calculator inputs
Every calculation on National Calculators runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. The numbers you type, such as your salary or other figures, are never sent to a server, never logged, and never stored. When you close the tab, they are gone.
Analytics
We use three analytics services to understand, in aggregate, which calculators are useful and where the site needs fixing.
- Google Analytics 4. Runs in consent mode. Before you make a choice in the cookie notice
it operates without cookies and sends only anonymous, aggregated pings to Google. If you accept analytics,
it sets
_gaand_ga_*cookies (around 13 months) so repeat visits can be counted. You can also block it with Google's opt-out browser add-on. - Microsoft Clarity. Loads only after you accept analytics. It records anonymised session
replays and heatmaps (where pages are scrolled, clicked and abandoned) and sets cookies such as
_clckand_clsk. Text you type into calculators is masked. See the Microsoft privacy statement. - Vercel Web Analytics. Cookieless, aggregate page-view counts. It does not build a profile of you and cannot identify individual visitors.
Advertising
National Calculators does not currently show ads. If advertising is introduced, it will be served by Google and approved third-party vendors. Those vendors, including Google, use cookies and web beacons (also called pixel tags) to serve ads based on a visitor's prior visits to this website or other websites, and Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads based on those visits. Visitors in the UK and EU will first be asked for consent through a Google-certified consent management platform before any advertising or personalisation cookies are set, in line with UK and EU GDPR.
You can opt out of personalised Google advertising in your Google Ads Settings, and out of many third-party vendors at aboutads.info (or youronlinechoices.eu in Europe). The live cookie details here will be updated when advertising goes live.
Cookies
No advertising cookies are set. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, listed above) are set only after you choose to accept them in the cookie notice; declining keeps the site fully usable. The cookie policy lists every cookie by name.
Visitors in the United States
We collect no names, accounts or payment details, and we do not sell or share personal information as defined by US state privacy laws such as the CCPA. The categories we process are limited to the anonymised usage data described above. Questions or requests can be sent to the contact below.
Your rights
Because we do not collect personal data through the calculators, there is normally nothing personal to access, correct or erase. If you contact us by email, we keep that correspondence only as long as needed to respond. Under UK and EU data protection law you have the right to access, correct, or erase personal data we hold, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
